Option 1 - Bare hull
£11,000 / $12,750* (September 2022)
For those very experienced 505 sailors, the satisfaction or rigging a new 505 to you own layout can be very satisfying. However, this is not our recommended option for most sailors.
Bare hulls as supplied from the Ovington Factory:

- Standard white hull/light grey deck
- Floor and CB case sides painted in TBW grey
- Stainless steel bow launcher bar installed
- Cutouts made for seat tank and forward ports/hatches
- Holes for fore/aft bailers and standard transom flap openings
Optional extras:
- Hull colors/stripes/etc.
- Fore/aft autobailers installed; glassed in on interior and gelcoat perfectly flush to hull around fitting
- Carbon fiber guard plates installed on both autobailers to prevent damage
- Extra wide transom flap holes for improved drainage while sailing
- Inspection ports/hatches installed
- TBW mast gate extension kit
- TBW mast base plate kit
- TBW composite keelbands slot gasket kit
- TBW aft cockpit foot chock
- SeaDek foam deck grip kit

Option 2 - Bare Hull + DIY Rigging KIT

In order to make the process of rigging a new 505 accessible to more people, we have developed a 505 rigging kit that includes ALL of the components to rig your new 505; and we mean EVERYTHING. While this option still requires a great deal of time and skills to complete, we have taken the guesswork out of the project to ensure that you will achieve great results.
This option includes the following components:
This kit will take the average person with reasonable skills between 150-200 hours to complete.

- Bare hull as described above with the following extras:
- Fore/aft autobailers installed; glassed in on interior and gelcoat perfectly flush to hull around fitting
- Carbon fiber guard plates installed on both autobailers to prevent damage
- Extra wide transom flap holes for improved drainage while sailing
- Inspection ports/hatches installed
- TBW mast gate extension kit
- TBW mast base plate kit
- TBW composite keelbands slot gasket kit
- TBW aft cockpit foot chock
- SeaDek foam deck grip kit
- Selden Alto Mast, partially rigged from factory
- Waterat carbon fiber boom and spinnaker poles
- Waterat high-aspect rudder and centerboard
- TBW carbon fiber mast ram tube, traveler bar, tiller extension
- Rigging layout based on USA 9228 prototype boat:
- Hardware pack including:
- All nuts/bolts/screws/washers in A4/316 stainless steel torx head drive
- All custom riser plates/backing plates/carbon fiber fittings
- All branded hardware:
- Majority Ronstan hardware
- Some fittings from Harken and Allen Brothers, where no suitable Ronstan product exists
- Full Harken or Allen Brothers fitout available upon request (there is a price difference)
- Rope pack including:
- All sheets, halyards, control lines required for complete rigging
- Majority Kingfisher Yacht Ropes / Gottfredi Maffioli products
- 100% premium selection; carefully curated for 505-specific application
- Hardware pack including:
- Complete set of drawings, rigging instructions, photos, and instructional videos
- Access to private TBW Owners Forum for live advice/feedback on your boat fitout project

Option 3 - Bare Hull + DIY Rigging KIT+ Partial fitout by TBW

For those that find Option 2 above a bit too daunting, we offer a partially rigged option where we complete the labor/skill intensive projects for you. This service can be tailored to suit your skills and rigging ability level but generally includes the following:
As this service is customized to your specific needs, labor is charged at shop rates. A labor estimate for each item will be provided/agreed.
- All components as described above in Option 2
- Laser level alignment for layout of critical systems that must be symmetrical
- TBW mast gate extension kit installed
- TBW mast base plate kit and mast step installed
- TBW aft cockpit foot chock installed
- Centerboard and TBW composite keelbands slot gasket kit installed
- Rudder installed
- Shroud tracks installed
- Mast ram deck fitting installed
- Installation of key through-deck tubes, G10 backing plates

Option 4 - Fully Rigged, Turn-key 505
